Alie B., a woman with shoulder-length, light brown hair, is smiling warmly. She has light skin and is wearing a bright pink button-up shirt underneath a light blue denim jacket. The background is a solid, soft pink color.

Hey, It’s Alie B.!

As an arts educator, I lead with optimism, joy, and curiosity!

Alie B.'s hair is long and wavy. She wears a bright coral pink blouse with ruffled sleeves and a button up neckline, as well as a pleated gray skirt. The background is a blurred city street with brick, greenery, and a traffic light.

My Work:

I believe arts education is not just an exploration of craft, but an exploration of self and community.  I am deeply committed to a student-centered and joy-filled approach to arts education.  I strive to create a container within the theatre or dance classroom where students can try new things, collaborate with others, and lean into their curiosity.  The arts teach us so much about the world around us, and offer us greater opportunities for empathy, collaboration, and critical thinking.  While I love teaching a crisply executed piece of tap choreography or coaching a comedic monologue, I pray that the skills students gain are able to be applied in all corners of their lives!
